Continuous Data Protection

Worry Free Backup includes advanced Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology which can be set to capture every version of the data of a file that has been saved to your hard drive. With CDP, even if your hard drive crashes completely after you have worked for a full day without invoking backup manually yourself, the saved copy of your working files will still be intact on the backup server. It provides a highly dependable means of real-time, continuous data protection for file servers, desktops, and laptops effortlessly and transparently, without any human intervention.

Scheduling

Besides CDP, Worry Free Backup also provides a flexible backup scheduler to implement backup policy easily. Once a user has defined the backup setting, backup will be carried out automatically at desired time. Make daily, weekly, monthly, or even customized schedules.

Encryption

All data will be compressed and encrypted with 256-bit encryption with an encrypting key selected by the user on the client-side before being uploaded and stored on our Backup Servers. The encrypting key will never be uploaded to the backup server during backup. Moreover, uploading of backup data can be done by secure SSL channel to further increase the security. Decryption, on the other hand, is only possible with user’s encrypting key. This whole mechanism provides exceptional security to the backed up data.

In-File Delta

Our solution comes with proprietary in-file delta technology. Thus, the original file is required to be backed up once only, i.e. in the first backup job. Subsequently, only the changes within the file made since the previous backup are necessary to be backed up. This significantly reduces the total backup time required.

Retention Policy

Retention Policy is not a problem with the Worry Free Backup Advanced Client. Create customized policies to retain files for weeks, up to years.

HIPAA Compliance

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

Because Worry Free Backup may provide remote backup services to businesses that could be considered “covered entities” under HIPAA (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996), we have decided to lay out our data security practices to help ensure they remain compliant while using our service.

Before any data is transferred to our servers by the Worry Free Backup client, it is first encrypted using 128-bit AES (with Twofish & Triple DES available in the Advanced version) with a password chosen by, and known only to the covered entity, Worry Free Backup has no access to these passwords. Additionally, any backed-up data restored through our website is encrypted using 256-bit SSL on top of the already used encryption method to store the data. All of our servers are located in secured & monitored datacenters with access restrictions in-place. For auditing purposes, the Worry Free Backup client automatically generates logs detailing the date/time and the files that have been backed up or restored.

The Worry Free Backup client offers the ability to store your encrypted backups locally (on the covered entity’s computer(s)), and can provide instructions on how to archive these backups to a CD/DVD or other media. Additionally, for a fee, Worry Free Backup can also ship the encrypted data to the covered entity on CDs/DVDs, this data cannot be viewed without first being decrypted using the Backup software and the covered entity’s password.
